We attach great value to handling personal data with the utmost care. Consequently, personal data is very carefully processed and protected by us. We comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG in Dutch) when processing personal data. In this statement, we explain what kind of personal data we collect and use and for what purpose. We recommend that you read this statement carefully.
Security
We are committed to making every effort to secure the website against misuse and unauthorised access to personal data. We do this, for example, through the use of SSL secured connections. It is your responsibility to ensure that the device with which you visit and use our website is secure, e.g. by means of a virus scanner.
Personal data
By using our website, you will leave certain data behind with us. This may concern personal data: data that can be traced back to you directly or indirectly. We store and use exclusively the personal data that you provide directly or for which it is clear upon submission that it has been provided to us for processing.
We use the obtained personal data solely for the purposes for which we have received the data from you.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, and we request your details, we will only use these details to send you our newsletter by email. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. As soon as you unsubscribe, we will immediately delete your personal data that is or was linked to the newsletter. The grounds on which we process your personal data is to allow us to fulfil your request to receive the newsletter.
In addition, we process your data for statistical purposes. This enables us to obtain general insights, such as demographic insights.
We also collect your personal data to build up a profile. We do this based on, for example, which links you click on in the newsletter, on which type of device you prefer to read the newsletter or when you read the newsletter.
The basis for building up a profile in this case is to serve a legitimate interest: we are able to offer you better content this way.
We do not process any more data than necessary for this purpose and your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms are not compromised. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your profile, if any, will also be deleted.
Contact form
If you would like to ask a question or get in touch with us, you can use the contact form on our website. We only use the data that you provide to us via the contact form to answer your question or respond to your comments. After responding, we will delete your personal data.
The grounds on which we process personal data is: to be able to fulfil your request for information or respond to your comments.
Job application
Should you leave your personal details on our website as part of a job application, we will only use this data as part of the application procedure for the vacancy that you have applied for. If the job vacancy you have applied for is filled, or withdrawn, we will delete the data that you have provided, such as your curriculum vitae and motivation letter, unless we have obtained your consent to keep the data longer for any future vacancies.
The grounds on which we process personal data is: the (pre-contractual) execution of an (employment) agreement.
Please note that a passport photo, place or country of birth and memberships of trade unions, sexual orientation, health status are deemed as special kinds of personal data. You are not obliged to disclose these in your curriculum vitae or motivation letter nor are they at all relevant when assessing your application.
Provision to third parties
We may engage third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties are in such cases referred to as "processors". These processors always operate under our authority and are not permitted to use the personal data for their own purposes. We have entered into processing agreements with these third parties.
These involve our hosting provider and suppliers of online tools. These online tools enable us, for example, to send the newsletter, follow up on your questions or comments or handle your job application.
It is possible that we use software provided by third parties to follow up on job applications.
Personal data may be processed outside the EU or the EEA. Then this usually concerns the United States. We make sure that the third parties who process your personal data are Privacy Shield certified or work with the EU Model Contracts for data transfers.
